Cruise ship arrivals set Jamaican record
On Wednesday, March 1, 2017 Jamaica had a record nine cruise ships calling at its four main cruise ports. Three ships entered or left Ocho Rios and three in Montego Bay. Two docked in Falmouth; and, one in Port Antonio.
Reported estimates are that there were some 20,000 cruise passengers in Jamaican cruise ports on that day.
“We’ve never had more than seven ships in a day,” was the response from a tourism official. []
