Cruise: More ships coming
2018, Novermber 1: By the end of the coming year, 25 new cruise ships will be in service. Another 19 will come into service the following year (2020) and 20 more in 2021. Total: 64 new cruise ships in 36 months.
The average size is 97,726 tons. Average passenger capacity is 2,440 guests (based on double occupancy.) The total cost of building of cruise ships in the order book now stands at USD66.5 billion.
There are 36 different cruise lines doing buildings in 17 shipyards.
