2020 December 01: Port of Bridgetown was named the Port Management Association of the Caribbean’s (PMAC) Novaport Cup winner for 2020.

The Port of Bridgetown won PMAC’s top award from a field of nine regional ports. The announcement was made on November 25 during PMAC’s 23rd Annual General Meeting.

Five key performance indicators are weighed in determining the winner of this annual event. Port performance is judged under the following sub-heads:

  • Total Cargo Volumes
  • Total Revenue Generated per Revenue Ton
  • Total Expenses per Revenue Ton
  • Net profit per Revenue Ton
  • Total Staff per Revenue Ton

British Virgin Islands won the Novaport Cup in 2019. St. Vincent and the Grenadines took the award in 2018. Antigua won in consecutive years, 2017 and 2016. []
